DEADLINE.COM – In addition to executive producing Limitless, the new CBS drama series based his movie, Bradley Cooper will recur on the show as a sidekick to the character he played in the 2011 feature, now portrayed by Jake McDorman. Cooper originated the role as a guest star in the pilot, directed by Marc Webb, and intends to appear as much as his schedule permits.
Limitless centers on Brian Finch (McDorman), who discovers the brain-boosting power of the mysterious drug NZT and is coerced by the FBI into using his extraordinary cognitive abilities to solve complex cases for them. Unbeknownst to the FBI, Brian also has a clandestine relationship with Senator Edward Mora (Cooper), a presidential hopeful and regular user of NZT who has plans of his own for his new protégé. Craig Sweeny, Marc Webb, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Heather Kadin, Bradley Cooper, Todd Phillips, Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley and Tom Forman executive produce for CBS Television Studios, K/O Paper Products and Relativity Television.
It is customary for feature actors serving as executive producers on series to recur, which is what Laurence Fishburne does on ABC’s black-ish.
Time magazine has released its 2015 list of 100 most influential people in the world with Bradley among other artists on the list. The issue will hit the newsstands on April 27. Read what Oliver Platt has to say about Bradley in the magazine below and watch Bradley’s interview during the photoshoot for the cover shot. I have added both the cover and the portrait from the shoot to the gallery.
I met Bradley Cooper in 2007, shooting an arc on the FX drama Nip/Tuck. Our characters had this wonderfully twisted relationship: I was a closeted TV producer in mad, unrequited love with Bradley, the ambitious, manipulative star of my soap opera. During our first take, he grabbed me by the lapels, threw me against a wall and launched into this insane in-character, off-script rant about how my not going to the gym was breaking his disgusted heart.
Apparently, in our line of work, this is how great friendships begin. Turns out this psycho was in fact a loving, grounded, hardworking fellow whose priorities in life are his dog Charlotte, the Philadelphia Eagles and showing up for people he cares about.
And yes, he’s a dazzling actor. Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, The Elephant Man—these are increasingly brave, eccentric, breathtakingly diverse performances. I barely recognized him in American Sniper; physically and emotionally, he actually kind of disappeared.
It’s hard to make people, especially your friends, forget who you are onscreen. But Bradley’s that good. And I think we’ve seen only a hint of what’s to come.

Sony Pictures have unveiled the first trailer for Cameron Crowe-directed romantic comedy, ‘Aloha’, featuring Bradley, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams and John Krasinski. Watch the debut trailer below! The movie opens in theaters on May 29th.
HOLLYWOODREPORTER.COM – Warner Bros. is keeping itself in the Bradley Cooper business.
Hot off the huge success of his film American Sniper, Warners is in negotiations to pick up the movie rights to Orphan X, an upcoming book by Gregg Hurwitz, for Cooper to produce and possibly star in. Todd Phillips, Cooper’s partner at their untitled Warners-based shingle, will also produce.
Hurwitz will pen the adaptation.
The thriller centers on a man named Evan Smoak. He’s called a “Nowhere Man,” and he helps others, sometimes through violent means. A job draws him into a world of human slavery, engineered by a detective of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The book will be published by MacMillan in February 2016.
Hurwitz is an accomplished author and comic book writer. His previous works include Don’t Look Back, Tell No Lies and The Survivor and he also wrote for both Marvel and DC on comics featuring Wolverine, Punisher and Batman.
He has also worked in Hollywood, having sold a spec script titled Expulsion to Warner Bros. in 2010 and serving as a writer/consulting producer on the ABC series V.
Cooper’s latest work, American Sniper, was a breakout hit when it opened in January and has earned over $361 million worldwide. It also garnered six Oscar nominations, including best picture and a best actor nom for Cooper, who portrays Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. Cooper was also a producer on the movie, having picked up the movie rights to Kyle’s memoir in 2012.
Cooper, who recently wrapped work on the untitled John Wells project and the Hawaii-set untitled Cameron Crowe project, is next producing, with Phillips, Arms and the Dudes, which is to star Jonah Hill and Miles Teller.
Jesse Ehrman and Julia Spiro will oversee for the studio.
Hello everybody! It’s been quite awhile since Bradley Cooper Network has been truly active, which I sincerely apologize for. Bradley has been up to some really awesome new projects and I’ve sort of fallen off the wagon in terms of updating. I just wanted to give a quick note that in the coming days Bradley Cooper Network will be under going some major changes, including an entirely new look, tons of new photos, the opening of the video archive, and so much more. I apologize for the lack of consistent updates, but I’m hoping to get back on track here in a few days. Take care and keep checking back!
