Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling’s upcoming generational thriller ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’ first footage will be shown on this weekend to the buyers who gather around the world at the Toronto Film Festival. Besides, Derek Cianfrance is filming the high-profile indie title which also joins with the stars Rose Byrne and Eva Mendes. However, the project reteams Gosling and Cianfrance who worked together on the critically acclaimed ‘Blue Valentine’, a film about a failing marriage.

The movie is produced by Sidney Kimmel Entertainment. It did some brisk presales business when it is first introduced at the Cannes Film Market in a last May by Sierra/Affinity. Including France and United Kingdom, a number of key territory deals were signed. In ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’, Ryan Gosling plays a professional motorcycle stunt rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son, but when he bounces on the paths with a rookie police officer, their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational feud tracing the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villains.

Meyer said that it looks spectacular and it is poignant. He added that it is an epic and Derek has once again proved his best a great filmmaker. He also added that the cast is fantastic and the confidence that SKE showed in the producers and filmmakers is evident in what you see on the screen. Sidney Kimmel, Lynette Howell, Alex Orlovsky and Jamie Patricof are the producers of ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’.

Bradley Cooper was in good-looking company Tuesday night at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London, where the dapper actor received the International Man accolade.

Presenting him the honor? His friend Charlize Theron, who happens to be in town filming her new movie, Snow White and the Huntsman, in which she plays the Evil Queen.

Reps for the event say the actors arrived and left separately but were friendly as they shared a table at the ceremony, which was held at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

Other honorees at Tuesday’s ceremony included Duran Duran (who received a Lifetime Achievement award) and Hugh Laurie (honored for his music).

In a breakout year, Cooper topped box offices worldwide with the hugely successful comedy sequel The Hangover: Part II and proved he could go toe to toe with Robert De Niro in psychotropic thriller Limitless.

He says: “The whole speech thing is a bit trepidatious [laughs]! But outside of that, I’ve always been a fan of the magazine and I’m a bit of an Anglophile, so it’s really cool.”

GQ.com highlight of the year: A toss-up between Cooper’s calculating cool in the final scene of Limitlessand his effortlessly charming headline-making interview with TFI in fluent French.

BRADLEY Cooper led the way for the guys at 2011’s GQ Men of the Year Awards, winning the most coveted prize, International Man of the Year.
Bradley Cooper was presented his GQ Men of the Year Awards gong by fellow Hollywood film star Charlize Theron, who was lucky enough to share the same table as the 36-year-old at London’s Royal Opera House.

Donning a white shirt with black buttons – a la Johnny Depp – the blue-eyed actor looked dreamy in a bow tie and suave suit.

But we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t give the other hot suitors at last night’s bash the mention they deserve for making us swoon this morning.

The stunning Kelly Brook offered up her equally as gorgeous boyfriend – former rugby player Thom Evans – who went the extra mile with a swanky waistcoat.

London-born rapper Tinie Tempah may have lost this year’s Mercury Music Prize to PJ Harvey earlier in the day, but the 22-year-old was as smiley as ever on the red carpet and he had good reason to be.

Tineie went on to pick up the award for Male Solo artist later in the evening and we’re not exactly frowning either after checking out his bot in those perfectly fitted trousers. Terwit terwoo!

Tanqueray Most Stylish Man, was Doctor Who star Matt Smith, and with gorgeous model girlfriend, Daisy Lowe, on hand to help him pick ensembles we’re not too surprised.

The British actor didn’t disappoint in yesterday evening’s formal getup either.

M&S model Jamie Redknapp is always a sight for sore eyes – Louise, hold on tight to that one – but we need to thank the organisers of this year’s ceremony for bringing back our object of perving joy for 2010, Douglas Booth.

Again, the mere sight of the actor has caused numerous mouths to catch flies across the OK.co.uk desk, it must be the chiselled jaw, or the full lips…

But we’re yet to settle whether he has a patch on these guys.

We were chuffed to see One Direction boys Zayn, Harry, Niall, Louis and Liam make their GQ Awards debut. Looking like total fitsters, we reckon they were just warming up to win Band of the Year of 2012. Anyone with us?

BRADLEY Cooper has taught us an important lesson this fine Monday morning.
Until Bradley Cooper touched down in London, we had the understanding that no one (and we mean NO ONE), could wear a granddad flat cap, suede trousers and still look fit.

But here’s the lovely Bradders ambling along through Heathrow airport yesterday, blowing our theory out of the water.

The Limitless hunk arrived in Blighty in his bizarre get-up, teaming his trews with a plaid shirt, scarf and jacket as he was escorted through the airport by two stewardesses looking mighty pleased with themselves.

Looking exhausted from the long flight, he managed to pull a quick smile for the awaiting snappers – cementing our daydream that he really is all that and a pack of biscuits.

Quite why Brad was dressed like an old man when he’s usually all dapper and sophisticated is beyond us, but we’ve decided we’re not all that fussed.

We still would.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe Facebook Page is reporting that an inside source has tipped them off on five actors that are up for a part in a Marvel Studios movie. The two other actors on the list are Eddie Redmayne and Joel Kinnaman.

I’m gonna speculate on that rumor and assume that the part they are most likely up for would be Hank Pym, or better known to most as Ant-Man. We know that Edgar Wright has just handed in the final script for the movie, and all these actors share the same fair hair qualities. Can’t be Daredevil, because the insider said it was Marvel and not FOX doing the considering. It most likely isn’t for Dr. Strange, because once again all five don’t share a resemblance to Sorcerer Supreme.

Bradley Cooper who just exited The Crow and was the runner-up to Ryan Reynolds for Green Lantern certainly has interest in making a CBM. Good solid actor, but with Paradise Lost beginning filming soon, will he have enough time to do another big movie?

Joel Edgerton is an interesting name. Currently early word on his new movie with Tom Hardy Warrior is very good. Early buzz is saying this might be a breakout performance for him.

Lee Pace who is best known as the star of the canceled but wonderful, Pushing Daisies has the look of Pym in my opinion and the acting chops to pull off any number of roles.

The other two actors I’m not that familiar with and I’d assume they are on the bottom rung. Eddie Redmayne is my least favorite on the list, his performance as Matt Damon’s son in The Good Shepherd was jarringly bad.

While Joel Kinnaman was in AMC’s tv show, The Killing. He should be familiar to many Marvel fans, because he was also on the short list for Thor.
