Forgot they were live? Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper got bleeped during their acceptance speeches at the 2014 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif. on Thursday, Jan. 16. Bullock was the first to drop the F-bomb, but was quickly followed by her former All About Steve costar.

Shortly into the awards show, airing on the CW, the 49-year-old actress took the stage to accept the award for Best Actress in an Action Movie for her role in Gravity. “I’d like to thank Jackie Chan, Sylvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme for teaching me everything I know,” she joked. “It’s not easy doing what we do, people.” But before she could continue, a recording loudly interrupted her over the PA system, saying, “Choice Movie Awards.”

Bullock looked completely shocked and mouthed, “What the f–k?” Fortunately, the CW was quick to censor the actress during their slight delay. “I’m an action hero. You do not do that to an action hero,” the Heat star said, before continuing with her speech.

Shortly after Bullock’s memorable speech, Cooper, 39, took the stage to accept the Best Acting Ensemble Award for American Hustle. The CW managed to censor Cooper’s reference to his costars as “these f–king actors.”

Bullock and Cooper weren’t alone, however, in their onstage slip-ups. Cate Blanchett dropped the S-bomb during her acceptance speech for Best Actress for her role as Jasmine French in Blue Jasmine. The CW once again caught the mistake and bleeped her out. “They couldn’t give a s**t what I do, and for that I’m eternally grateful,” she joked of her three sons onstage. “But you need to be grateful that it is I, and not Jasmine French, who is your mother,” she continued of her unforgettably loopy character.
