Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper have reportedly spent £2.5 million on their first home together.

The loved-up couple have only been dating for a few months, but, according to a US publication, the actors have settled on a four-bedroom property in the Pacific Palisades community in California.

And Cooper is so happy with their new home, The Hangover star even gave his parents a mini-tour of the place when they visited at Christmas.

A source told the tabloid: ‘Bradley and Renee were proud to be sharing their new house with his parents. They looked happy together and very much in love.’

The insider added: ‘They have already lots of plans for the renovations. They’re both homebodies, and they can’t wait to have a place to entertain friends and just be together.’

At the lunch for “Up in the Air,” the Bagger cornered Ivan Reitman to ask whether “The Hangover,” a huge box-office success this year, would make it on his list of The 10. Absolutely, he said. (Presumably “Up in the Air” would still be No. 1, though with the New Math it would also have to be Nos. 2, 3 and so on.)

“It’s very hard to make a film that funny,” said Mr. Reitman, whose credits as a director and producer include “Ghostbusters” and “Animal House.” “People say, oh, I know comedy’s hard, but they never give it any respect — as somebody who has obviously had a chip on his shoulder for over 30 years of doing comedy.”

Being truly funny, he continued, “why is that not as difficult to pull off as ‘Avatar’? Or some of those more subtle art movies? You know, art movies are good, I’m not knocking them. I think ‘Hangover’ is harder to do than ‘An Education.’ And I loved ‘An Education.’ ‘Hangover’ normally never will end up on a list, where ‘An Education’ will always end up on a list.”

Mr. Reitman likes the expanded list, but he would prefer if it were separated into categories, à la the Golden Globes, for drama and comedy. “Right now it feels diluted more than anything else,” he said, adding: “People come to me and say I changed their lives all the time, by these movies that they still remember and their kids watch them– it’s about who they are. They remember ‘Ghostbusters’ more than they remember an Ingmar Bergman movie, even though the Bergman movie is much more distinguished. I think the Academy can find a place where they can find space for both.”

The Bagger would love to see that, or at least to see death from “The Seventh Seal” take on Bill Murray from “Stripes.” Yeah, you know who’d win.

Bradley Cooper has returned to the scene of the crime: Caesars Palace, where the actor, his castmates and the crew of the recent big-screen comedy “The Hangover” lived for more than month.

It’s here that they portrayed the destruction of a $4,000-a-night hotel suite and, oh yes, the livers of the film’s four lead characters.

“The odd thing is, it’s weird that it’s not weird,” Cooper said. “In fact, it feels so comfortable being back in Vegas, the slot machines in the airport that used to make me feel awkward and anxiety-stricken, now I feel sort of at home.”

Directed by Todd Phillips (“Road Trip”), “The Hangover” — arriving today on DVD — serves up a bachelor party that goes so wrong, the groom goes missing, perhaps for good.

As the groom’s best friend, Cooper returns to on-screen matrimonial mayhem: He played Rachel McAdams’ sociopathic boyfriend in 2005’s “Wedding Crashers,” and earlier this year, he starred as Jennifer Connelly’s philandering husband in “He’s Just Not That Into You.”

The unexpected success of “Hangover” — it opened to nearly $45 million in June, on its way to grossing more than $277 million this year — could signal Cooper’s leap from character actor to movie star.

Such talk makes him a fidgety.

“Grandiose thoughts don’t do anything for me,” he said. “I’m better off just sitting here enjoying this interview with you now. If I start to think beyond that …”

There are what may be considered to be more concrete signs that Cooper’s star is on the rise: He co-starred with Sandra Bullock in the comedy “All About Steve,” arriving next week on DVD; and is also cast in the long-delayed Renee Zellweger thriller, “Case 39,” which is expected in theaters in early 2010.

Cooper also scored some serious celebrity press this year, with a “People” headline: “Bradley Cooper Denies Romance With Jennifer Aniston.”

“It’s completely hilarious,” said Cooper, who shared billing, but little else, with the “Friends” actress as part of the huge “He’s Just Not That Into You” ensemble. “I met her like three times,” he said.

Also don’t count on Cooper leading DC Comics’ Green Lantern to the big screen, which also has been widely reported. Cooper said he has spoken with “The Green Lantern” producer Donald De Line, but nothing’s set.

Cooper said his phone is ringing more of late, but for how much longer remains to be seen.

“You know, you’re one movie away from falling off or ascending,” Cooper said. “That’s the beautiful thing about this business.”

DVD DETAILS: Available in single disc DVD, a two-disc edition and a two-disc Blu-ray. Also an unrated edition. Six featurettes include a gag reel, action mash-up, “Map of Destruction,” Three Best Friends Song” and “the Madness of Ken Jeong,” plus more pictures from the missing camera. The Blu-ray release adds a Mike Tyson teaser and a cursing mash-up.

This summer’s biggest hit “The Hangover” is back — and Extratv.com has the scoop on what you can expect for the DVD and upcoming sequel.

Director Todd Phillips says he has begun the writing process for “The Hangover 2,” with shooting set for September 2010. The crew is back for round two; Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha.

Don’t expect any wild adventures in Sin City this time around. “It does not take place in Vegas,” Phillips confirms. The sequel also doesn’t pick up where the first film left off.

Bartha has yet to see the any of script, but verifies “The Hangover 2″ will be “very funny.”

“The Hangover” releases on DVD and Blu-ray Dec. 15 and it’s jam packed with bonus features and deleted scenes. Bartha says fans can expect more scenes of him alongside his on-screen father-in-law Jeffrey Tambor as well as “great Ken Jeong outtakes.”
